20 Jan Did you catch the Globes? We did!

Award show season is our favorite time of year because it puts the best and the brightest in jewelry design on display for all to see and be inspired! This year was no exception with the beautiful parade of gems at the Golden Globes!

Earrings are still leading the charge as we kick off the new year. With statement necklaces and stacked bracelets coming in close behind. We noticed our favorite celebrities continuing to gravitate towards stunning and ornate chandelier dangling perfection, dominated with diamonds and radiating with a rainbow of gems including emeralds, rubies and more.

We love the bold ears, but our favorites this year are the stacked bracelets packed full of sparkle. The more the merrier, as our arms can tend to provide the most real estate for decorations. Stars like Julianne Moore and host Sandra Oh, both took advantage of their movie star arms to show off some lovely collections of diamond studded and gem packed bracelets.

What else did we see? Well it looks like the resurgence of 90’s fashion trends isn’t stopping with high waisted jeans and plum lips. Chokers are back and they’re better than ever. The comeback of the choker could not have been instituted any better, because these were full of sparkle.  Some of this year’s break-out stars like Kiki Layne (Beale Street Could Talk) and Constance Wu (Crazy Rich Asians), along with Yvonne Strahovski (Handmaid’s Tale) and Rachel Weisz (The Favourite) were on trend with brightly and ornately decorated choker necklaces. Thank you ladies for bringing back a punk rock accessory and making it shine!
