08 Oct The process of creating a custom engagement ring

At Hemming Plaza Jewelers, we can create a custom jewelry piece that fits your style and budget. We can design anything from the perfect diamond engagement ring to a custom necklace that makes a statement.

The process begins with a detailed sketch of your ring. Next a computer 3D image is created and then rendered so you can see exactly what the final product will look like. Once approved, a wax version of the ring is grown and prepared for casting. The piece is then invested in plaster and placed in the kiln where the melted metal is cast into the plaster to create the piece of jewelry. Once the piece has been cooled, it is polished, and then the diamond or other stones can be mounted. Finally, the piece is hand engraved. Click on the images below to see a visual of the process.
